Dirk Weiler was born in Germany, where he studied dance and received his Masters degree in Musical Theatre at the renowned Folkwang Hochschule in Essen.

Prior to coming to New York in 1998 to pursue vocal studies at the Manhattan School of Music, City College of New York and Brooklyn College (where he received his Masters of Music degree), he performed with the dance company of Claudia Lichtblau, gave concerts throughout Europe and appeared in productions like Company, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, and many others.
