The album is completed...all artwork is finally done and approved, which was the biggest pain. The title is Chapped Laps.

The songs were written in the 80's and recorded at different times and in several studios. The tracks were transfered from 1" tape to DAT, then brought into Nuendo. The mixing sessions were done long distance from Texas to New Jersey. Robin Hood Brians (recording engineer in Tyler, Texas) lined-up all the tracks to "measure one, beat one" before he saved them to his server. Ken Lewis (mixing engineer in New Jersey) grabbed the files via the Internet and saved them to his server. He brought the files into Pro Tools. He mixed on his own. Then a mixing session was scheduled to listen to the mixes via a downloaded mp3 at 192K. I sat in my office online in Texas and listened to the mixes and sent emails to Ken with revisions. Several times, I called him at his studio to discuss things that were not easily explained in an email.

We are in a new world which allows one to be thousands of miles away, yet be right there.
