Jeremy Leveller meets his hero!

Jeremy Cunningham felt on top of his world this summer, when he got to meet his bass playing hero, Gel Newey, from Bleeding Hearts. Jeremy, age 36 and a quarter, a Brighton man, also plays bass in his own band, the Levellers. He was lucky enough to meet Gel, when he and his band played 4 open-air concerts with the Hearts, organised by some folky minded forestry commissioners and a cheeky chap from Cambridge.
"The whole four events were great!", said Jeremy, "it was loads of fun playing to 3,500 people each show, plus I got to meet the Bleeding Hearts. I'm a big fan and I've got all their albums on CD!". After the gig, Jeremy and Gel spoke for ages about their mutual love of the Sex Pistols, and Gel offered to help out the Levs with some Black Sabbath riffs for them to do in their soundcheck.
"All the Bleeding Hearts were really nice blokes and took the time to say hello to us all", said Jeremy. "People say our music sounds very similar to Bleeding Hearts, but in my mind that's great, cuz I think they're ace!"
