A special 'Thank You, Dolly!' event took place in front of approximately 400 employees and invited guests on the evening of June 10, 2010 at Dollywood in Tennessee USA. Local entertainer Malcolm Link wrote a tribute song entitled "Little Butterfly" that he performed live for a surprised Dolly Parton as a part of Dollywood’s ongoing 25th Anniversary celebration. A five minute "We Love Dolly" video accompanied Malcolm’s singing which had scenes that included the staff and employees of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Leconte Medical Center and Dollywood as well as members of Sevier County High School Band, Phi Beta Phi 3rd and 4th grade choirs, “Friends of the Smokies” and others in East Tennessee for whom she has had a positive impact. A lot of talented musicians, local professionals and school children donated their time and talents to the three month "Little Butterfly" project. “I really appreciate the efforts of those who participated in the making of this video and song for Dolly”, Malcolm stated. “It was so special to see Dolly's reactions as she heard “We Love You Dolly!” from the different groups of people in the video and at the end she had tears in her eyes as she told me that ‘no one had ever written a song especially for her’.”
