Blue Alien’s Club was born in Barcelona in the beginning of 2005 aiming to reach fresh, clean, dynamic music for every restless nature spirit. Since their very beginning the approach to follow was clear, even in terms of colour, texture and message of the lyrics. Our debut album, “New Aliens in Town” started from a previous selection of compositions whose authorship is shared among R.Ortín, J.L.Tobes and X.Espinoza. The latter, founder of the project, recruited the rest of the band –with whom he shared liking, influences and objectives– through the internet. The name of the band comes from the literal meaning that the US Migration Service gives to the word “inmigrant”. The Aliens, as they are also known, come each one of them from different and distant places and found a meeting point at that cultural melting pot called Barcelona. Blue Aliens’ Club are: Hel Marco (voice), Carlo Lambertini (bass guitar), Xavi Espinoza (guitar and keyboards), Jean Pierre Mubikayi (drums). Their influences differ so much among themselves almost as their interpretative experience which met in neutral territories of rock, blues, funk and pop. This quartet distributes their skills throughout this album’s 45-minute length. They strongly believe in the beauty of the simplicity, and how hard it is to achieve this equilibrium. Vocal lines are clear and rather pop oriented, but Hel’s power makes you abandon the stereotype. Xavi’s guitars are clean and sharp, cutting that solid rhythm base created by Jean Pierre and Carlo. In conclusion, a fresh sound, great professionalism live, and more over, a message easy to identify and to assimilate.
