Founding members Joel Parker (guitar and vocals) and Jon Ibberson (drums) had been writing and performing together since they first met on a music course at college during the mid 90's. In 2002 the duo recruited Steve Curtis (bass) . After six months of working together as a full band, Method Own had regular gigs in the South West. Off the back of these successful shows they were invited to tour the Czech Republic in April 2003. In 2004 MO released their first independent CD of original material that drew its influence from bands such as Pearl Jam, Led Zepplin, Cracker and The Stone Roses. The culmination of which created a crunchy, energy fuelled groove whilst retaining a melodic, harmonious quality which unavoidably set heads nodding and feet tapping. In 2007 we decided to expand the Method Own sound with Jas Lockyer joining us on Guitar. With new material and old Method Own classics the group are now in search of more gigs and tours to help promote their latest release in 2007...
