This album, Keepin It Country was recorded by Jim Cook and the Taylormacs and consists of 12 original tunes written and composed by Jim Cook and Taylor McKinnon. Jim, from Inez Kentucky, and Taylor, from Birmingham Alabama formed their group after meeting at Valley College in San Bernardino California where Jim was a student and Taylor an instructor. The guitar work on this album is by the great Jerry Swallow, and the Steel guitarist is Buddy Merrill, formerly of the Lawarence Welk orchestra. The fiddler is Bob Helm from Lake Elsinore California. Jerry Swallow led the Tanya Tucker band for five years.
