The 'Krew' were formed in May 2006 by Jay Kumar, a leading Choreographer specialising in Bollywood and Bhangra Dance Styles, when he embarked on a project to combine his passions for Bollywood Dance and Football, and produced a track called It's the Time for England which added Bollywood Masala to England's World Cup Campaign !
The debut track was written by Jay Kumar and his 14-year old daughter, Anjali Solanki, to the tune of Hit Bollywood Song - it's the Time to Disco, from the fillum Kal Ho Naa Ho with music produced by Jayanta Pathak and DJ KMilind, two of the most exciting Music Producers to come from the music scene in Mumbai.
In Sept '06 The JK Krew completed their second project - A song for Diwali - which once again features the soulful voice of Melissa Bell, formerly of 90's band Soul II Soul.
The Diwali Anthem is an original piece written by Jay Kumar and Jayanta Pathak. A video to accompany the song is also out.
