Nanaki are an instrumental Post-Rock band based in the Isle of Man. Originally formed in 2002 by Emma Ryan (Bass) and Mikie Daugherty (Guitar/Keyboard/Programming), who set about writing and recording music together, which attracted the attention of other local musicians. The first line-up of the band started playing in the summer of 2003, quickly gaining a reputation for intense and extremely loud live performances. After some line up changes over the years, Nanaki is now completed by Dan Ankers (Guitar), Andy Gifted (Keyboard/Guitar) and Chris Flood Drums.
The music of Nanaki ranges from delicate, atmospheric beauty to raging, white-noise guitar abuse, visiting many areas inbetween.
