Originating in California in the late 70's, Nitework then moved to Los Angeles in 1979 where they were signed to Mistral Entertainment. Nitework continued playing in L.A. until 1984, by which time they had produced two albums.
They regrouped in 1985 in Boston, with a new lineup featuring singer songwriter Paul David Killeen. The band also boasted lead guitarist Dominic Zocchi and drummer Kevin Newton. For the next five years they were a successful live and recording band, playing in New York and New England.
