The Traditional Mexican Music Group TSASNÁ welcomes you to our ARKADE.

Tsasná (before known as Ixtaku) -which in Totonac language means moonlight- was formed during the summer of 1999 with the intention of promoting the costumes, values and traditions found in Mexican music, particulary El Son.

Tsasná line up is integrated by the musician Salvador Aquino Reyes, aka Chava, the etnomusicologist Luis Alejandro Villanueva and the violinist Danue Loaiza.

In all these years, several musicians have collaborated with the trio, such as Miguel Aquino, Alejandro Reyes and Ysrael Castillo.

The objetive of Tsasná is the promotion and preservation of Mexican folk music -specially indigenous one- in Mexico and around the globe. To achieve this, Tsasná has recorded three original records and participated in Mexican folk music compilations.

Tsasná sincerely hopes you enjoyed your visit!
