The Kathryn Wheel is a female fronted UK indie-pop band based in Cheshire, formed late Sept. 2009, writing and performing original material.
Concentrating on catchy 4 minute tunes, full of hooks, melodies and layered guitars, The Kathryn Wheel list Fleetwood Mac, REM, Sheryl Crow, Blondie & Tom Petty among their influences.
2010 - 11 saw the band developing and establishing their live sound, while gigging extensively around the Cheshire/Manchester/Merseyside/Staffordshire area of the UK, playing both festivals and traditional venues, while also attracting a good deal of Local Radio interest.
The Kathryn Wheel's debut Album: 'It's Only Life', was released on May 20th 2012, and is available for download @ Amazon & iTunes.
Continuing to concentrate on gigging and playing live, The Kathryn Wheel are also currently back in the Studio putting the finishing touches to their second album: 'NoW', due for release June 21st 2014.
