Not many classical string quartets can claim to have played on the Radio 1 Chart Show Live the day after performing Ravel in the Wigmore Hall. But for the Pavão Quartet this was a typical weekend. This versatile ensemble is not only highly-regarded in classical concert venues across the world, but has enjoyed sharing a stage with the likes of Rod Stewart, Sir Paul McCartney and Charlotte Church. Since forming in 1998 at the Royal Academy of Music, this prize-winning quartet have experienced everything from playing on Stradivarius instruments worth millions to camping in the deserts of Oman.
Their debut album 'Someone to Watch Over Me', reached no 6 in HMV’s Classical Chart and was played on Classic FM, Radio 3 and Radio 2.
Now they are offering a very special version of ‘Away in a Manger’; 100% of sales will go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
