Comprised of two of the founding members and primary songwriters of the band LOMA LYNDA, Sarah Ellquist and Dan White recently left their pedestal as LA cinema darlings to form PHILISTINE!, in search of a more refined sound and forum to deliver their gut wrenching serenades.

Ellquist and White arent newcomers to critical acclaim. Their work together (as Loma Lynda) has been hailed by numerous publications, some of which include Filter, Res, and Variety. The OC Weekly has described this duos songwriting as Intimately familiar on first listen, as if foggily remembered. The Weekly has also likened their songs to those of Radiohead, while praising them as being more immediate and warm, closer to the gentler moments of Mogwai, the torch songs of Jeff Buckley and the ether-clouded melodies of Broadcast.

PHILISTINE! also calls the talents of gifted intrumentalists Keith Boyarsky on bass (also of Loma Lynda) and Preston Scott Philips on drums.
