My father had the first rock band in Key West, Florida. I can remember singing John Denver songs with him on my grandparent’s front porch. I played my first gig at a high school assembly. We did two songs: ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man", and "Heaven's On Fire" by Kiss (complete with costume changes). The entire school went nuts ... and I've been hooked on playing music ever since.
I’ve done a couple of thousand shows in the years that passed, mainly on a drum kit. Along the way I’ve sang, played guitar, bass, ran sound, done lighting, worked on the local crew for national acts, …. and on and on. I’ve played shows with a diverse range of recording artists such as Night Ranger, Socialburn, Galactic, or even Bertie Higgins (“Key Largo”). I’ve jammed with former members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, and Blackfoot.
I put down this recording in an experimental spirit. I’m working hard at the craft of DEY (Do Everything Yourself). It’s a lot of fun - thanks for listening!
