How to Search the Site:
If you know what you are looking for, or want to search for something specific on our database, simply click the “Search” button near the top left hand side of the page.

You can now enter the details of what you are looking for in the spaces provided under each category (e.g. artist’s name, track name, producer). To specify the genre or mood of music you are looking for click on the word “any” next to that category and use the pop-up menu to make your choice.

Use the pop-up menu in the “Result Format” category to choose whether you want to list the results of you search by track names or by website.

When ready click the “Search” button at the bottom of the page and the results of your search will be listed for you. Simply click on any item in that list and you will be taken to the appropriate page.

If you still can’t find what you are looking for click the “Refine Search” link at the top of the list and try changing the details you entered, then click “search” again.

How to Browse the Site:
To browse through a list of all the artists and tracks on this site click the “Browse” button near the top left hand side of the page.

Now click on any letter from the alphabet that has appeared near the top of the page to list all artists whose name starts with that letter.

For more information on any artist listed simply click the “Go To” link that appears next to their name.

If you want browse the site by track names instead of artists, click the “Browse Tracks” link near the top of the page, and follow the same steps as above.

How to View the Charts:
Keep up to date with who’s hot and who’s not by checking the constantly updated Chart section. Click the “View Charts” button near the top left hand side of the page. You can now select which chart you want to view by clicking one of the links that have appeared on the left side of the page.

Once your selected chart is displayed you can click on any of the artists’ names or track titles to visit the relevant page.

How to Login:
As a registered user of Arkade.com you can access the full range of features available on the site, and you will be able to purchase tracks.

To begin your session, click the “Login” button at the top right hand side of the page.

Enter your username and password in the appropriate spaces, then click the “Login” button near the bottom of the page. If you would like your username and password to be stored on the computer you are currently using please tick the box labelled “Remember Me”.

How to Register:
Registering with Arkade.com will allow you to purchase tracks from the site. You may also receive other benefits from registering with us, such as up to the minute information on exciting new music and products, if you want it!

To register, click the “Register” button near the top right hand corner of the page, and fill-in the simple form that will appear.

Start by choosing a username. This can be anything you want (up to 20 characters long) and will be the name by which you are known on this site. Continue by entering your first name, surname, then email address in the appropriate spaces. Make sure you enter your correct email address as we will send you an email to complete your registration. You will be asked to enter your email address twice so as to avoid any mistakes.

Choose a password for yourself and enter it in the space labelled “Password” (your password can be up to 20 characters long) You will be asked to enter your password twice so as to avoid any mistakes.

We regularly send information on new music and exciting new bands to our registered users, along with information of upcoming events. However, if you would prefer not to receive these emails simply click the “contact me” button near the bottom of the page and change it to “Don’t contact me”

When you have entered all your details click the “Continue” button near the bottom of the page.

You will now be asked for a few more contact details. Fill in the form in the same way as above, then click the “Continue” button near the bottom of the page.

Now you have the chance to tell us all about your personal tastes in music. This will help us ensure that the information we send you is relevant to you. A list of music genres will appear, and all you have to do is click on the button next to each music genre that interests you. A tick will appear in each selected genre. To un-select that genre just click again on the button and the tick will dissappear.

When you have made your selections click the “Continue” button near the bottom of the page.

You will now see a copy of our Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully then click the button labelled “I accept the Terms and Conditions” if you are happy to do so, and a tick will appear in the box. You must do this in order to proceed with your registration.

Now click the “Finish” button near the bottom of the page. An email will now be sent to the email address you gave us explaining the next step.

How to Use the Checkout
Once you have made a selection of music and are ready to make your purchase, please select either of the 'checkout' buttons on the right pane. (There is one underneath 'account' and a further button under the 'total cost'.)

At this stage, you will be presented with a confirmation page asking you to check that the items in your cart are those that you wish to purchase. You will also be alerted to any reasons why you cannot purchase any track or bundle or if there have been any changes to the items in your cart.

If you are happy to proceed, click the 'Continue to Payment' button.

The next page will alert you to any transaction charges that will be billed to you. You will need to select a method of payment from this page and then click 'continue'. The following page will show you the total price of the items you are purchasing AND the transaction cost. You will need to enter your card details on this page and then click 'continue'.

You should now be presented with a 'payment success' page which means your payment was successful and you can now use the 'go to downloads' link to download your music. However, if for some reason your payment was not accepted, you will be shown the 'payment declined' page which will prompt you to go back and review the details you inputted.

From the 'your downloads' page, you can download music you have purchased. IMPORTANT: you have 28 days from the moment of purchase to download your music. When you click on 'download' next to the purchased item, the MP3 will be downloaded in a ZIPPED file format.

You can go back to 'your downloads' page at any time from the 'account' button in the right pane.

What am I Buying and Where is it Coming From?
Arkade.com is a subscriber-based service which offers artists the opportunity to sample and sell their music directly to people like you! When you buy a track from Arkade.com you will receive a download of the track in an MP3 file format, perfect for use on your iPod or your PC.

All artist are welcome to subscribe to this service, so why not offer your own music to thousands of people at a price that you decide? Click the “Create Your Own Artist Page” link in the bottom left hand corner of the page to become one of our subscribers.

How to Create your own Artist Site
To create an artist site on the arkade start by clicking the banner in the bottom of the page (the black 'create - upload - sell' animation ). You will notice it turns red when you put your mouse over it.

Complete the form you are presented with. This will be used to create your account on the arkade system. You will be asked to enter your email address twice so as to avoid any mistakes.

When you have entered all your details click the “Continue” button near the bottom of the page.

If there were no problems with your application, you will see a confirmation page letting you know that your registration has been processed and that an email has been sent to you to activate the account.

Please open the email and follow the link in the message to validate your account. This is an important security feature of the site - we need to make sure that all correspondence is sent to the right email address and that is why we ask you to validate your account in this way.

Once validated, you will be asked to enter the subscriber management site. This is YOUR site management area. Please bookmark this page as you will need to visit this page before you can make any changes to your site in future. Please enter your user ID and password to enter this site.

On entering the page for the first time, you will be asked to purchase your artist site pack. Please use the drop down menu options to create the artist site pack that suits your requirements. On completion, please press purchase to be taken to the secure payment area. This area allows you to enter credit card information in a secure environment.

Once your payment has been validated you will be asked to create a Click2Pay account. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT as you will need to enter your Click2Pay details later so that arkade can make payments to you from your music download sales. Click on the link to Click2Pay and set up your account on their site. Once you have completed this, you can return to the subscriber management page and begin managing your site contents and details.
