The Darkening Scale is one of the solo music projects of David Janssen, perhaps better known for his work in experimental music with Renaldo and the Loaf in the 1980’s. When Renaldo and the Loaf ceased working in 1986 David ceased music making for the next 20 years. A reunion with his former musical partner, Renaldo M, in July 2006 led to his reconnection with music. A non-musician for 20 years, David now works with sound samples and a PC.
