The fabulous Syd Lawrence Orchestra has been touring Great Britain and Europe for over 35 years with over 150 performances each year.
The traditional band line up of rhythm section, trombones, saxophones, and trumpets, combined with bass, drums, piano and vocalists gives the Big Band Swing Orchestra massive diversity.
Featuring the very best musicians and singers, the bands perform a wide selection of traditional Big Band Swing music. The range of artists covers greats such as Glenn Miller and Count Basie to Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington.
Orchestra leader Chris Dean is one of England’s most established trombone players and Bandleaders, believing in leading the Orchestra in the traditional "Show Band" style. He ensures they perform the classics of the swing era in a way that entertains.
"Big Bands International" (Great Britain, USA, Australia) has voted the Orchestra the "No. 1 Big Band" for an amazing 6 consecutive years.
