Danny Bowes and Luke Morley first played together when they were 15 years old and based in London. Together they formed the band Terraplane, which released two albums.
Terraplane split in 1988 and Danny and Luke formed Thunder in 1989 and were soon signed to EMI. Lots of gigs and touring followed and the Thunder name ws established and the loyal fanbase began to grow.
The group's first two singles both hit the U.K. Top 40 and earned Thunder a support slot for Aerosmith and a gig at the 1990 Monsters of Rock festival. The single ‘Backstreet Symphony’, released less than two years after the group's live debut, reached the U.K.'s Top 20 and was certified gold. Television appearances on BBC Top Of The Pops and ITV swiftly followed.
Thunder reformed in 2002 and has been going from strength to strength. The line-up is:
Chris Childs - bass guitar Harry James - drums Ben Matthews - guitar and keys Luke Morley - guitars, percussion and backing vocals Danny Bowes - lead vocals
